Project Overview
Lifeline started when the founders met an alcoholic man on the streets of Harrogate at Christmas time 2011. He was really disheveled, drinking, seemed extremely low and looked very cold. It didn't seem right to them that people were having to sit out on the streets in one of the most prosperous towns in the North. A subsequent meeting with Pastor Pete led to them exploring a partnership with Green Pastures.

The local hostel 'Harrogate Homeless Project' identified that there was “a chronic lack of move-on accommodation” and after Green Pastures confirmed the request they set about seeing if the local churches would partner with them to develop some accommodation so that people could move out of the hostel into independent living with floating support provided. They held a vision meeting in July 2012 and out of this Lifeline Harrogate was formed and many people came forward to volunteer.

Lifeline started housing people in 2013 in their first house and now have four Green Pastures houses housing 12 men at any one time. Great things have happened as Lifeline have supported people and many lives have been changed and saved. They give God all the glory!
